We have a mix of cricket and football to look forward to on our screens at the Club this week.
On Wednesday at 6.30pm we have the first of three 20/20 games between England and South Africa and this will be followed by the second match which will be at 5pm on Friday.
Sandwiched in between the two, we’ll be showing football, with the England under-21s kicking off against Poland at 7.45pm. England have won one and drawn one of their group games so they should be in the semi finals and we’ll be showing that as well, with an announcement as soon as we know what the arrangements are.
So there is plenty to watch in the Club, or you may just fancy a pint in these red hot conditions. The Club is a lovely airy place to be on hot days like these so why not come down and relax with a beer.
Finally, we have been asked by a few people if we’ll be showing the Lions tests against the All Blacks – the first one is at 8.30 on Saturday morning. Sadly, we cannot arrange this because our licence doesn’t cover such early hours trading and, to be brutally honest, the committee member most likely to want to do this will be much happier watching at home. So, sorry rugger buggers but that’s the way it crumbles cookie-wise.
