Club member Matt Redmore has set up a Premier League Fantasy Football page to keep us all occupied through the forthcoming season.
This is a piece of fun, where you pick the players that make up your squad, pick a team from them each week, and manage them through the season,. You can do this on-line on the Premier League website or by downloading the app. Instructions are as follows, courtesy of Matt. The premiership season starts on Friday, so if you want to join the group, all in the same mini-league, you’ll need to get your skates on. And if you’re a bit unsure about all this, either drop Matt a line on foo2.mr@gmail.com, or corner him in the Club on Wednesday or Thursday. He may be in today as well but we think he’ll be hiding while his beloved Villa play their League Cup game against Colchester.

In the meantime, Neil Janes’s Tipster competition starts this weekend. Plenty of you have expressed interest in doing this and now is the time to put your minds to the coming weekend’s likely results. If you are doing the Tipster competition this week you will need to get your completed sheet in, either emailed to Neil or in the green file behind the bar, by Noon on Saturday. Entry is £2 a week, although Neil prefers to take in a tenner for five weeks, which is only fair given the amount of work he puts into the competition.A copy of this week’s sheet is attached.
