First of all, the Club has secured a pitch at the village market next Saturday, Sept 23. We’d very much appreciate any help we can get from members to help us promote the Club on this day. We need to set up at about 8.30/9am and then man our pitch through to about 1/2 pm. We’ll be handing out fliers promoting the Club and events at the Club and we need people who are happy just talking to passers by and telling them what a nice bunch we are. If you can volunteer some of your time, please mail in reply to this message and we’ll get back to you.
Secondly, we have a load of special events lined up for you through to the end of the year. Just to make sure you have no excuses for missing any of it, here’s the full list so that you put these dates into your diaries.
Sept 30 – BBQ in the afternoon (Chelsea-Man City on TV) – Hassocks Fatboys Beer Pong night
Oct 6-10 – Beer Festival – Open Day and BBQ on Oct 7
Oct 21 – Quiz Night
Oct 28 – Halloween Day/Night, with BBQ, to support St Peter & St James Hospice – Open to non-Members
Nov 4 – Open Mike Night, organised by Titch Ellis
Nov 18 – Quiz Night
Nov 25 – Great Pie Night
Dec 1 – Light Up Hassocks – Club probably taking a stand
Dec 9 – Quiz Night – Moved to second Saturday in December to accommodate other events
Dec 16 – Christmas Raffle Night
We are still looking at plans for Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, while if anyone would like to run a kiddies Christmas Party for us we’d be very grateful. We have a Father Christmas and the Club will provide goody bags. But we do need an organiser.
