Events through December

First of all this season’s club competitions have all been drawn, with the pick of the matches drawn Dave Price vs his old mucker Kev Smith. They will probably be booking an early and late evening slot for their game. The draws for the various competitions have been posted up on the noticeboard in the snooker room and all first round matches have to be played by December 31st.

The Club could also do with your help. Light Up Hassocks night is on December 1st and we will be sharing a pitch with Reflex Hairdressers on the High Street. If you can volunteer some time between the hours of 3pm and about 8pm, not all of it just some, we’d love to have you along. We’ll be using the event to sell ourselves to the village and to flog raffle tickets and we’ll be telling people about our Club while treating them to a warming drink. And if you are in the High Street on that evening but you’re busy with the kids or whatever, please drop in and say hello to Hayley, Daniella and the rest of the people at Reflex and maybe find out what they could do for you.

We’d also like to remind you that the time available for you to renew your membership and get your ` in is shrinking fast. You only have a few more weeks to bring your raffle tickets in to the Club, so please can you get this done asap? You have a little longer to renew but you might as well get the job done now, before you start spending serious money in the run up to Christmas.

On December 10th we will be having our annual Children’s Christmas Party. The party starts at 10am and runs to midday, when the bar opens. We’ll have a Children’s entertainer lined up. The party is free to the children of Club members and you can pick up tickets at the bar.

And finally, its Pie Night on Saturday. We’re really looking forward to seeing what you come up with
