Sport this weekend

We have some great sport coming up on our TVs this weekend.

We start on Friday night with Arsenal’s home game against Liverpool on Sky, which kicks off at 7.45pm.

On Saturday lunchtime at 12.30pm, we’re showing Everton-Chelsea on Sky. That will be followed by the usual football results service before BT bring us Burnley-Spurs at 5.30pm and Sky Sports Villa shows their home game against Sheffield United. Then as a special Saturday treat we’re showing Leicester against Man Utd at 19.45 on Sky.

On Sunday (Christmas Eve) there is no football on – is Sky really showing respect for Christmas? but there is Premiership rugby on BT at 3pm, with Leicester playing Saracens in what is normally a traditional celebration of everything that is most thuggish about the sport.

We haven’t bothered to lay much on in terms of specific entertainment for Christmas Eve since we’ve found that people tend to drift home from about mid-evening. But the Club is a great place tp just come and have a chat and a beer so why not take a break from worrying about the carnage to come and spend some time relaxing in the Club with friends.

Finally, there is a game on tonight which I missed because I thought it was one of those mickey mouser cup competitions involving various clubs youth teams, But we actually have a League Cup quarter final on tonight, with Bristol City taking on Man Utd on Sky at 8pm – hopefully City will field their best team, find themselves caught in extra time and penalties and come out of the whole experience utterly shattered for the weekend’s football.
