The entertainment in the Club will not be stopping just because our winter hols are over, although in January we will be giving you a quieter month than normal because we’re all a bit debauched out now aren’t we.
Next Saturday we bring you the annual Quiz of the Year, taxing your memories of 2017 and at the same time asking if you know what to expect in 2018. We’ll be asking about music, politics, sport, what’s been on your tellies, anything from last year, so if you fancy having a go, be in the Club from about 8pm on Saturday. If you’re lucky the Chair will have got himself organised enough to deliver the quiz by 8.30. We’ll be looking for £2 per person and teams of no more than four, with all monies raised going back as prizes.
That’s not the end of quizzing because we will be enjoying Scally’s normal monthly quiz on Jan 20, so if you enjoy a quiz, please mark Jan 6 and Jan 20 in your diaries.
This week we also have plenty of sport on our TVs for your entertainment. Today, once we’ve got the Leeds-Forest game out of the way, we’ll be showing Everton-Man Utd on Sky from 5.30pm. Jose’s full range of excuses should be on sometime just after 7.15 and then we’ll switch to Championship darts, with the final between Phil Taylor and Championship debutant Rob Cross.
Tomorrow night we’ll be showing Swansea-Spurs on Sky at 7.45pm and then on Wednesday its Arsenal-Chelsea, also at 7.45pm on Sky.
Then on Thursday night we’re showing Spurs against West Ham at 8pm before we switch to FA Cup football in the form of Liverpool-Everton from 7.55pm.
