What with the Joshua fight, the return of Premiership football and a bumper weekend of Championship games, we’ll have loads on our screens for you this weekend.
And we start tonight with a thriller – Blackburn-Bradford in League 1 on Sky at 7.45pm.
We open at Noon on Good Friday and the sport starts with Oxford-Scunthorpe in League 1 at 12.45. Then at 5.30pm we bring you Wolves-Middlesbrough in the Championship before Derby-Sunderland at 7.45pm.
Saturday is going to be a busy day. The first game will be the 12.30pm Premiership kick off on Sky, between Palace and Liverpool. That will be followed at 5.30pm with two games on different screens, with one showing the Everton-Man City match on BT and the other Hull-Villanil on Sky.
Once those games are over we move on to the Joshua-Parker fight on Sky Box Office. This is a special for the Club and, as we have already said in earlier emails, we will be asking those there to watch for a tenner each. This is to cover the cost of subscribing to the game and of hiring extra bar staff to cope with an expected busy night. We won’t necessarily show the whole card while we may use one screen for other stuff during the early part of the evening, but both will be firmly fixed on the Joshua fight once it comes on. Sky have informed us that this should be at 10-10.30pm, but don’t be surprised if its a little late because there’s normally a load of posing to be done before anybody actually attempts to hit anyone.
Then on Sunday we start at 1.30pm with Arsenal-Stjoke, always a dodgy fixture for Arsene’s brand of tippy-tappy, before we show Chelsea-Spurs, where there’s plenty of bad blood these days, at 4pm.
If you’ve still got the stamina we then return to League football on Easter Monday. We start at 12.45pm with Preston-Derby and then at 5.30pm we’re showing Pompey-Wigan from League 1 on Sky and then finally at 7.45pm it will be Sheffield United-Cardiff, also on Sky.
That won’t be the end of it all because next week we’ll be bringing you Championship, Champions League and Europa Cup football, while the Masters 3-balls start the ball rolling on Wednesday. So we’ve got loads to look forward to in the Club this next week and we’d love to see you all in enjoying the Club.
Happy Easter everyone
