Club Golf Day in September

Aaron has lined up a fantastic Club golf day for us September 15th. We will be playing at Bletchingley, which is close to Godstone in Surrey. We meet for coffee and bacon rolls at 11am and the first tees will be at 12.10pm. After, we all come back to the Club for a barbecue and BS session. The cost for the day will be £40, for members only, to include brekkie, the golf and prizes. If you would like to play please enter your name and handicap onto the form which is on the noticeboard by the fruitie. We already have some strong names on the list, including Al the Bandit and Vinny McSpinney and we nned more, so please get yourselves signed up as spoon as possible. And if you can get your £40 in behind the bar as well that would be handy because someone needs his deposit back.

Meanwhile, we have loads of sport on our TVs this week.

Tomorrow night we’ll have both screens working, with the one nearest the foyer showing the mighty Yeovil Town playing Matt’s Villanil in the League Cup. That kicks off at 19.45. On the other screen, the one close to the fire exit, we’ll be showing Sussex-Glamorgan in their 20/20 game, which starts at 6.30pm.

On Wednesday evening we have more cricket, with Warwickshire-Lancashire in their 20/20 at 7pm on one screen and then Atletico-Real Madrid in the European super cup at 7.45pm.

Thursday brings us Sunderland-Sheff Wednesday in the League Cup at 7.45pm, while the Wyndham Championships golf starts at 8pm, or after the football.

On Friday its Championship football with Birmingham-Swansea on at 19.45, with the golf following.

That leads us into the weekend when we’ll have the third test between England and India, India have to win, Premiership football including Chelsea-Arsenal late on Saturday afternoon and Brighton-Man U on Sunday afternoon and Palace-Liverpool on Monday night.
