We’ve got plenty on in the Club this week but first a warning, the pool table will be reserved for competitions on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.so if you’re all fired up for a game of pool please come in on a different day.
Our sport on TV starts tomorrow evening, with Man City-Schalke 04 playing in the Champions League on BT at 8pm. We can also show Bristol City marmalising Ipswich in the Championship but you will need to ask at the bar nicely for that.
Then on Wednesday we’re off to Germany for more Champions League football with Bayern Munich-Liverpool, also on BT at 8pm. There is an alternative to that with Norwich-Hull in the Championship at 7.45pm but, since we don’t think we have more than one Hull fan and. we think. about two Canaries, we’re assuming that all screens will be on the Champions League.
On Thursday we’re off to the Europa Cup, with Chelsea looking to defend a 3-0 lead out in dynamic Kiev, at 5.55pm on BT and then Arsenal trying to overcome 3-1 deficit when they host Rennes at 8pm on BT – what might the odds be on Chelsea going out and Arsenal making it through? Might be worth a few quid if you’re not worried about losing it.
On Friday night there’s Barnsley-Doncaster in the 3rd division to get our weekend started before we go into a hell of a weekend, with all four FA Cup quarter finals, the culmination of the Six Nations and Premiership and Championship football, with the highlights being Wales-Ireland and England-Scotland on Saturday afternoon – good luck to all.
And, of course, we’ll be staging our March quiz at 8.30pm on Saturday night, so please make sure that date is in your diaries.
