It’s our AGM this coming Friday

Our annual general meeting will be on Frtiday 12th April. The meeting starts at 8pm in the snooker room and normally runs for about an hour. All members are welcome to attend the meeting, which re-elects committee members and hears reports from a small number of officers. It also votes on any rule changes that have been put forward, Please do your best to be there.

In the meantime we have loads coming up on our screens this week. We start tonight with Chelsea-West Ham on Sky and then we launch into European football.

Tomorrow night we’ll be giving priority to the two Champions League games that will be on BT, with Spurs-Man City on BT2 and Liverpool-Porto on BT3. That means that there is no room for our militant Dirty Leeds fan to watch Preston-Leeds on Sky Sports Action at 7.45pm but, if we have nobody in to watch one of the Champions League games we will be able to switch – sorry Banno that’s all we can offer at the moment.

On Wednesday we have more Champions League action with Man Utd-Barcelona on BT at 8pm. Depending on how many we have in we can also show B, which kicks off on Sky 15 minutes earlier.

We move on to a mix of golf and Europa Cup football on Thursday, with the Masters starting up on Sky at 8pm and with two Europa Cup semi-finals starting at the same time. The Masters is a special event so at the moment that takes precedence but if there’s noone in for it we’ll put the football on, showing Arsenal-Napoli and Slavia Prague-Chelsea. We’re sorry is anyone is disappointed but the gits that set the schedules seem to delight in making life awkward for each other.

On Friday, as well as the AGM, we’ll have the Masters on at 8pm, along with Leicester-Newcastle in the Premiership. There’s also Newcastle-Leicester on in the English rugby Premiership but that will be third priority.

That takes us into the weekend when we’ll the Masters continuing, Premiership and Championship football, including Leeds-Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday afternoon and Liverpool-Chelsea on Sunday afternoon, along with Premiership rugby.
