Open Mic Night is back this weekend

We’ll be staging our second open mike night in the Club on Saturday night. The first went very well and if you missed it, you should do your best to be in for it. If you play or sing there’ll be room for you. Or if you just want to enjoy the music, please do. The music normally starts between 8.30pm and 9pm.

Also, a little bit of housekeeping for you. The construction of the new skate park in Adastra Park will begin this week and will last for several weeks. Because of this the middle bays in the top car park will be reserved for construction traffic, so you may find getting spaces difficult there. Please make sure visitors that you know are coming to the Club are made aware that they may need to park in the car park outside the Club or further down Orchard Lane.

This week we have Premiership football on our screens tonight, tomorrow night and on Friday, so we’ve got plenty of TV sport to keep you entertained.

We start tonight with a game that has just kicked off – Spurs-Brighton. Both sides need the points so it should be interesting and if you set off now you’ll catch most of the game.

Tomorrow night we’re up in Lancashire for United-City in the Manc derby, which kicks off at 8pm. then on Thursday we’ll have the Zurich Classic golf teeing off at 8.30pm and running through Sunday.

Then on Friday evening we’re showing Liverpool-Huddersfield from 8pm, which should be a bit of a one-sided goalfest, while there could also be one day cricket or rugby union on if you ask nicely at the bar.

Next weekend, as well as the Open Mike Night, we’ll have some great sport on, with Middlesex-Sussex in the one day cup through the day on Saturday, Brighton-Newcastle on Saturday afternoon and Man Utd-Chelsea on Sunday afternoon.
