Catch the Six Nations this weekend in the Club

Keymer & Hassocks Sports & Social Club is showing the Six Nations live

Our live sport for this first weekend in February looks scintillating, with the Six Nations back tomorrow, some great football action, cricket and golf.

The first day of the second test between the West Indies and England, no its not going well since you ask, will be on from opening time tomorrow and can be viewed when other things allow from 2pm on each day of the weekend. It probably won’t make Monday. We also have the Phoenix Open golf starting at 8pm tonight and running through the weekend.

Tomorrow night our main event is France-Wales in the Six Nations, that kicks off at 8pm. We’re not expecting a massive hoard of Taffs and Frenchies in for this so we can split the screens to show either the cricket or, if our one Derby fan is in, Preston Both Ends vs Fat Frankie’s Derby County which kicks off at 7.45pm on Sky.

On Saturday we kick off at 12.30pm with Spurs-Newcastle on Sky. That can be followed by the cricket at 2pm or by the Scotland-Italy Six Nations game but the one thing we are guaranteeing is that one set of screens will be showing the football scores from 3pm. Then we have some issues and it really depends on how many England rugby fans we get in as to what we’re showing on the screens from 4.45 pm. That’s when Ireland-England kicks off and we’ll have the match on one set of screens while the football scores finish going through on the other. Once the results are through, if we have a lot in, we’ll switch all the screens over to the rugby, but if we only have enough in for one set of screens we’ll switch the others onto Sky to show the top of the Championship clash between Leeds and Norwich from 5.30pm. We don’t think we’d get a massive audience in for the Cardiff-Bournemouth game which is on BT at the same time as the Leeds match.

On Sunday, with the cricket starting once again at 2pm, we start footballing at 2.05pm with Leicester-Man Utd on Sky. Then at 4.30pm we’re showing the Premiership game of the weekend with the Man City-Arsenal see who can pass the other off the pitch game. Sadly folks, on Sunday night we can’t show the Superbowl between the Patriots and the Rams because it starts after we ring the bell for time.

That’s not the end of the action because on Monday night at 8pm we’ll be showing West Ham-Liverpool on Sky. That will be followed in the week by FA Cup fourth round replay action on Tuesday and Wednesday and by Championship football at the end of the week,
