We have a great week lined up for you in the Club.
First of all, next Saturday Scally will be setting us his November quiz. These have turned into good nights, always well attended and Scally has developed a nice knack of making his quizzes appeal to all-comers. The fee for taking part is just £2 per person in teams of no more than four. Kick off is at 8.30pm but it might be a good idea to turn up a little earlier to make sure you can bag a table – we can dig out more tables and chairs if needed.
In the meantime, we’ll have plenty of sport on our screens. Tonight we’re showing the World Cup qualifier between Italy and Sweden, with the Italians needing to overturn a 1-0 deficit if they are to be in Russia next year.
Tomorrow night we’ll have two games on, with England playing Brazil on one screen and Ireland’s World Cup qualifier at home to Denmark on the other. The Ireland game kicks off at 7.45pm and the England match kicks off a quarter of an hour later.
Then we have FA Cup action for you to enjoy on Wednesday and Thursday. Wednesday’s match sees Tranmere Rovers take on Peterborough in their replay at 19.45 on BT. Then a day later, at the same time and on the same channel, we’ll be showing the mighty Billericay against Leatherhead.
On Friday night we can also split our screens if needed, to show Preston against Bolton in the Championship on one, kicking off on Sky at 7.45pm, and the Premiership rugby union match between Gloucester and Saracens on BT at the same time. Just ask at the bar if you’d like to watch that and please make sure nobody is watching the screen you’d like to watch.
