We’ve got a great weekend lined up for you in the Club.
First of all its quiz night on Saturday, giving you all the chance to show what clever clogs you are, or just to have a good night. The quiz starts at about 8.30pm, as ever, and we’re welcoming teams of up to four paying £2 a head. As usual there will be cash prizes, while we’ll be looking to put a little cash into charity. Its always a nice night, so why not come down.
And then there’s Cup football to look forward, with loads of fifth round matches on our screens.
We start tonight at 7.45pm, with QPR-Watford on BT. Can the Chair’s beloved Hoops overcome Premiership opposition, or is it to be the usual ritual humiliation in front of his mates? There’s only one way to find out and that’s to be in the Club tonight.
Then tomorrow we start early with Brighton-Derby at 12.30pm, also on BT. The Club’s had plenty of grumbling about the lack of trains down to the Amex this weekend so if you decided you weren’t bothering and you still want to watch the game, our doors will be open. That will be followed at 3pm by the usual results service before we move on to the Newport-Man City game on BT at 5.30pm.
On Sunday we kick off on BT at 1pm, with a tricky one for Dan Chambers’ boys, Bristol City-Wolves should be very interesting, pitching a rather inconsistent Prem team against one of the Championship’s form teams. Masochists can also watch Blackburn-Middlesbrough in the Championship at 1.30pm on Sky, but you’ll have to ask at the bar. We follow all that with a real banana skin loaded treat, Doncaster-Palarce at 4pm, Mr Adamson may be squirming if his wonky shoulders will let him by Sunday evening.
That’s not the end of the weekend because there’s the Genesis Open golf on in the evenings – the Chair will probably be calling for it before 9pm tonight. And on Monday we have the final televised 5th Round game and its probably the best – Man Utd-Chelsea – which is at 8pm. We all know Chelsea love going to Man City these days don’t we.
