Please can those of you joining us for the gin tasting night on Friday evening pay your fivers as soon as possible thanks. There is a list of names and a pot for your cash behind the bar. We’ll be releasing further details of the night very shortly.
Secondly, we have just posted up a form for you to register your interest in the Glorious Goodwood day in early August. You’ll be able to find it on the noticeboard between the fruity and the bar. Please put your names up as soon as possible so that we can firm up the arrangements for transport and refreshments.
And finally, what’s on our TVs this week? Well, there’ll be World Cup cricket on early in most evenings. There have been some cracking games already and we’re sure there’ll be more so if its not on and you fancy watching please ask at the bar.
There’s also some international football to look forward to, with the Nations League – remember that – Finals being played on Wednesday and Thursday nights. First of all Portugal are playing Switzerland in their semi final and then on Thursday its Netherlands-England in theirs. Both will be on Sky at 7.45pm. Those two games are the openers for the final stages, with the third place game being played on Sunday at 2pm and the Final at 7.45pm that day.
Prior to the weekend the Canadian Open golf starts on Thursday night and will run through the weekend. Meanwhile the weekend will also include more World Cup cricket, with England playing on Saturday, European Championships qualifiers involving the home nations, the Nations League finale, the women’s World Cup match and the Canadian Grand Prix.
