Halloween and Pie Night in the Club

If you’re looking for something to do on Halloween, the Club will be hosting a Halloween Party in aid of St Peter’s & St James’s Hospice that you and your kids will love on Saturday October 27th. We start at 5pm with a party for the kids. We’ll have loads of different party games for the youngsters, apple bobbing and face painting, plus a fancy dress competition and a barbecue. That runs until 7pm and then its the grown-ups’ turn.

We’re lucky enough to have got Lorelei Rock booked to entertain us through the evening. Lorelei Rock are two former professional musicians who somehow ended up sinking into old githood in the local area. They can play anything and they are very slick so if you haven’t seen them come down and get a taste of them on Halloween night. It’ll be more than worth it. They’ll be setting up once the wreckage of the kids’ party has been cleaned up and they should be playing by 8pm or shortly after.

On the evening of November 24th the Club will be turning its thoughts to all things Pie. Yes, Pie Night is just seven weekends away. As ever, we’ll be looking for the best sweet and savoury pies and we expect the competition to be as intense as it always is. So if you fancy showing the rest of us how to make a pie, here’s your chance. Start practising now and hopefully we’ll have the perfect pie to sample on the night. And if you don’t think you’re up to making a pie, come down anyway because we’ll need pie eaters to buy the pies as well as makers to supply them. As ever, all pies entered into the competition will be sold, with the proceeds going to charity.

Over the next few weeks we’ll be publishing details of a load more events for you to look forward to in the run up to Christmas so please keep watching this space.
