We’ve got a great weekend to look forward to in the Club. Tomorrow night we’re doing loads, with the golf day, a barbie associated with that and our September quiz in the evening. We’ve also got Sussex in their 20/20 semi-final on Saturday, the return of Premiership football, rugby and the Singapore Grands Prix.
We start tonight with a Black Country derby, Birmingham-West Brom in the Championship at 7.45, or you can watch rugby with Gloucester-Bristol on BT at the same time.
Then tomorrow the golfers should be gathering at Bletchingley from 11am on, the first bully-off is at 12.10pm. At 12.30pm we’ll be showing a cracking Premiership clash, Spurs-Liverpool before at 2.30pm we put one of our screens on to the Sussex-Somerset semi-final. The other will be on the scores as they come through from 3pm as normal. After that we move on to Premiership and Championship football, both at 5.30pm, with Watford-Man Utd on Bt and Blackburn-Villa on Sky Sports VillaLeeds.
Things could get complicated at 6.45pm, which is when the 20/20 cup final starts. That will be when the football is still going so cricket fans may have to miss a bit of the start but if nobody’s watching one of the games we’ll switch it to the cricket straight away. Otherwise the footy ends at about 7.15pm and we’ll switch the screens over to the cricket as soon as it does. If you’re in for the cricket, we’ll be showing it during the quiz if Sussex are in the final, but with the sound off once the quiz starts.
The quiz gets going properly at 8.30pm and runs through the evening. It is open to teams of four, paying £2 per player, with cash prizes through the evening.
On Sunday we start at 1.10pm with the Singapore Grands Prix on Sky on one screen. Then at 1.30pm we’ll put the other screen on to Wolves-Burnley Sky game. At 3pm we can then show Wasps-Leicester on BT and we’ll follow that at 4pm with Everton-West Ham.
That’s not the end of the weekend because on Monday evening we’ll be showing Southampton-Brighton from 8pm. So Brighton fans if you’re not up to making the long trek across to St Mary Meads, come down to the Club and enjoy the game with us.
Next week you’ve got the return of Champions League football, and Europa Cup games on Thursday, so you’ve got plenty of reasons to be in the Club all through to Friday.
