Tomorrow is going to be a busy one in the Club once we get to the football. We’re showing the Cup Final at 5.15pm and, with loads of Chelsea and Man Utd fans in the Club, we’ll be showing it on both screens. You’ll need a beer or two to cope with the stress so why not come down to the Club and groan in company.
Then we move onto the main event, which is our May quiz, set by the magnificent Scally. Our quiz starts at 8.30pm, which is more than enough time for the Cup Final to have completed extra time and penalties if needed, but just early enough for us to be able to cut short Jose’s miserable interview. The quiz is open to teams of four and costs £2 a head, with prizes handed out through the night. It’s always a good night, so please get yourselves down to the Club.
But what else is there? Well tonight we’ll be able to watch the final play-off semi final, this time between Notts County and Coventry for the honour of escaping League 2. The two are 1-1 after the first leg so it should be good stuff. That kicks off at 7.45pm, after which we’ll be showing the Byron Nelson golf, which we’ll also show from 7pm on Sunday evening.
Next week will be a big change for the Club’s footyholics because they’ll be going cold turkey. What’s more we have the beginnings of cricket – you should have seen poor old Matt Redmore’s face when it was pointed out to him that the first test, against Pakistan starts next Thursday, There’s also some one-day county cricket to look forward to and, from Thursday, the PGA golf championships from Wentworth. We’ll bring you more details at the beginning of next week.
