Join us for our Beer Festival this weekend

There’s a lot to get through here, so please stick with us to the end, but oh my we’re have a big weekend ahead.

We start off tonight with Brighton’s home game on our screens against Man Utd. That kicks off at 8pm and, if you don’t have a ticket but want to watch the game with fellow supporters, of both sides, come on down to the Club.

Then tomorrow the first thing we have for you is our beer festival. That starts at Noon and all the ales are in waiting for you. We also have tasting notes ready for you and we’ve even been clever enough to put the wrong notes on one ale, well alright we admit it, its a cock up – a free pint to the person who comes up with the most imaginative alternative note, assuming you can spot the error.

Our ales will be largely summery, hoppy beers but we’ve made sure there are some other tastes in there as well for those of you that find hoppy ales a bit too sharp. The beer festival will run through Saturday, Sunday and Monday, or until we run out. We’re open to all-comers on Monday so if you fancy trying the ales and you’d like to introduce friends in as guests, make sure you’re in on Saturday or Sunday to get the best of the weekend.

While you’re supping, we’ll have loads of sport on for you to watch. We start at 12.30 tomorrow, with Stoke-Palace on Sky – can Palace send the Stokies down?

Then we move on to the usual results service while at 3.30 there is the final rugby Premiership match to watch, please ask at the bar. At 5.30 we’ll have Everton-Southampton on BT – can Big Sam help Sparky to achieve the unique feat of taking two sides down from the Prem in the same season – this QPR fan certainly hopes so.

On Sunday, our entertainment starts at 12.30pm. when all the Championship teams play their final games. Sky’s main match will be Cardiff-Reading but there’ll be lots of jumping about to show the goals happening elsewhere as they happen.

Then at 1.30pm we’re showing Man City-Huddersfield on one of our screens, both once the Championship games finish, before we move on to the game of the weekend with Chelsea-Liverpool on Sky at 4.30pm.

And Panini collectors, don’t forget we’re reserving an area under the TV on the cricket club side of the building for you, from 3.30pm.

That’s the end of the main TV sport. although we’ll also have the snooker finale and the Wells Fargo golf championship in the evenings.

Monday is a different game altogether and we’ll be hosting non-members through the day. We’re also expecting to be crowded from about 1pm to 4pm.
