We’ve got another great weekend of sport lined up for you this weekend, with the Masters in full swing, football from the Premiership and the Championship, and Premiership rugby union.
Top billing goes to the Masters, which started yesterday. The Brits haven’t started brilliantly but Ian Poulter is going well and Rory McIlroy isn’t too far off. Golfers in the Club, the Masters will be on Sky Sports Golf in each of Friday, Saturday and Sunday so come to us to get your fix.
Elsewhere, well Sky is doing its best to drive our Friday nighters into tonight’s AGM by showing Leicester-Newcastle in the Premiership. Both start at 8pm and we’re sure we’ll get the meeting done with plenty of time to catch the last of Leicester’s goals.
Tomorrow we kick off at 12.30pm with Spurs-Huddersfield on Sky. Then at 3pm we’ll have one set of screens on the football scores as they come through and the other on the Gloucester-Bath premiership rugby match, alway a bit of a humdinger when those two meet. At 5.30pm you have a choice of two games, with Man Utd-West Ham on BT1 and Leeds-Sheffield Wednesday in the Championship on Sky Sports Leeds.
On Sunday we’re showing Wigan-Norwich at Noon on Sky. Then at 2.05pm we go to the Premiership with Palace-Man City and at 4.30pm one of the season’s leading games in Liverpool-Chelsea – maybe our Chelsea fans will be less enthusiastic for singing about the number of European Cups they’ve won during that one.
That’s not the end of the weekend because Monday brings us Watford-Arsenal, which should be interesting given Arsenal’s European commitments three days later.
Next week we’ll bring you plenty of European football, Championship and, believe it or not in this bloody weather, the return of cricket with Sussex-Surrey in the one day cricket cup.
