Having seen football return to our screens last weekend, we can now look forward to a final this week and the return of the Premiership on the weekend.
Tomorrow night we have a special treat for Man United fans when we show the European Super Cup Final between United and Champions League winners Real Madrid, maybe even with their old friend Ronaldo, assuming he’s not in prison for tax evasion, or their future target Gareth Bale. That kicks off at 19.45 on BT2.
Then on Wednesday night at 19.45 we’re showing Colchester against Aston Villa in the League Cup, whatever they call it now. That should be a great game, pitching lower league wannabe giant-killers against premiership aspirants. And we have Sussex’s leading Villa fan to watch while we watch it.
Our next football comes on Friday evening, when Arsenal and Leicester take us into the new Premiership season. They kick off on Sky at 19.45, and they’ll be followed by a full programme of football over the weekend.
Before all that we also have other sport on this week, with 20/20 cricket on at the same time as another League Cup game on Thursday and, assuming the red button works on our TVs, the US PGA golf championships on every night from Thursday.
So come to the Club for your sporting entertainment this week.
