Don’t forget folks, we’re staging our March quiz tonight. The quiz kicks off at 8.30pm and all you have to do to take part is stump up £2 for each person in your team of up to four. There are cash prizes to be won through the different rounds and these prizes do not go to the same people every time. It’s a lot of fun and Scaly has even been known to an occasional music round, so we’d love to see you in the Club tonight.
Our TVs will be showing sport this weekend, but not as we know it, because we’re in the dreaded international break so no Premiership or Championship games. So this weekend you can watch League 1 & 2 football, rugby union and golf – fortunately the Test Match starts too late for us to show it.
We start today with a classic rugby fixture, when Saracens take on Harlequins live on BT at 2.30pm. At 3pm we’ll be running one screen on the usual results service, so that the gamblers can check on their punts on the lower leagues before at 5.15 we switch to League 2 football when promotion chasing Luton play Barnet on Sky. Also, at 5.30pm, we can bring you under-21s football when England take on the good ole US of A. At 7pm you can watch the Dell Matchplay golf, but we will be switching the screens off when our quiz gets going.
Tomorrow we start with Chesterfield-Notts County in League 2 on Sky at 1.30pm. Then at 2.30pm we can put one screen on to the Leicester-Wasps rugby, on BT, before we go to Pompey-Oxford in League 1, on Sky at 4pm. Then we finish our weekend with the Dell Matchplay at 7pm on Sky.
And that’s it really until Easter weekend. We have England-Italy on Tuesday, no doubt that’ll be a thriller, and then Blackburn-Bradford City will be on the box again next Thursday, Mystic and Nigel.
More on Easter weekend nearer the time but we should tell you that the Club will be opening at Noon on both Good Friday and Easter Monday.
