Quiz Night this Saturday

Looking for something to do tomorrow night? Well our quiz night starts in the Club at 8.30pm on Saturday and it will have something for you, whatever level you think you are.

Scally always puts a good quiz together, which tests all levels so if you don’t know who fought in the War of Jenkins Ear – who was it by the way – you will know how to do some of the puzzles that the eggheads struggle with. He sometimes does a music round but basically his quizzes always give us a chance somewhere. And the quizzes are always broken into three rounds of prizes, awarded after two rounds, four and then at the end, so even if you miss out on the first batch of cash prizes you still have chances. There is a fee for taking part, a massive £2 per person in teams of up to four. So you’ve got a bargain and that’s before we consider you’ll be drinking our nice cheap drinks.

Of course if your a sports fan you’ll want to know what you can watch while you’re in over the weekend. Saturday’s and Sunday’s viewing will be dominated by the Open from Carnoustie. It’ll be showing exclusively on Sky and we’ll have it on at least one screen from Noon on both Saturday and Sunday. Also, if you’d like to watch the highlights in the evenings, please ask at the bar.

Other sporting events that will be on include 20/20 cricket in the early evenings tonight and tomorrow. Also on Sunday we’ll also have the German Grands Prix on at 2.10pm.

And, for the football fans that are already pining post the World Cup, we will be keeping an eye out for any interesting friendlies but don’t hold your breath because half the Premiership seems to be playing miles away from home at the moment.

See you all in the Club this weekend.
