We’ll be enjoying a Race Night tomorrow to raise cash for St Peter’s and St James’s hospice. We’ll be getting started at about 8am and we’d love to see as many of you as possible. It will cost a small fee to take part and there is also a small charge for each of your bets, with our charity taking a cut of any pay-outs. It looks like being a great night and if we can raise a few hundred pounds we’ll be ever so pleased. There’s bugger all on telly so why not give it a go. And please bring money because we’d like to fleece you for charity.
Also this weekend we have a load of football coming up on our screens because we’re taking another weekend off from the rugby. We start tonight with Leeds-West Brom, on Sky Sports Leeds. That kicks off at 7.45pm.
Then tomorrow we start early with a classic London derby, with Spurs-Arsenal kicking off at Noon on BT1, At 3pm we’ll have our usual results service while at the same time there’ll be another in the West Indies-England one day international series on Sky Sports Cricket – on the other set of screens. At 5.30pm, Sky brings us West Ham-Newcastle and then we’ll move onto our Race Night, which means that the pol table will go into the snooker room from about 7.30pm.
On Sunday we have more derbies on our screens. Before they come on we start at Noon with Watford-Leicester on Sky. Then at 2.05pm Sky will bring us managerless Fulham-Chelsea, although the later still have a manager technically. Then at 4.15pm we’ll be showing a traditional classic, Everton-Liverpool on Sky. In the evening we’ll also have the final day of the Honda Classic golf.
That’s not the end of the weekend because on Monday night we’ll be watching the steel city derby, Sheffield Wednesday-Sheffield United, which kicks off at 7.45pm on Sky, so brace yourselves for a nasty attack of Matt Bolton. Next week we’ll be showing Champions League, Europa League and Championship football featuring Spurs, Man Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea and no Leeds or Villanil. And next weekend the rugby’s back and we have a classic Premiership match on Sunday afternoon.
