Longstanding members will be pleased to learn that Paul Lewry will be paying a visit to the Club to celebrate his 60th birthday with us. We don’t have full details yet but it will be late afternoon/early evening on Friday September 21st and he would love to see old friends so please do your best to be in the Club. We will be getting a special licence so that ex-members can come in and see him as well.
Also, the Club has a golf day coming up at Bletchingley on Saturday September 15th. Because we’re short on numbers we’ve decided to open up the day to non-members, so if members have guests that they’d like to bring along they’d be very welcome. The cost for the day is $40 per person for 18 holes, brekkie and a barbie at the Club after. Please help us to get the numbers up for this one.
Finally, we have more League Cup football on tonight when Neil Baker’s Forest take on Scally’s Toon, that kicks of at 7.45pm.
Tomorrow afternoon we’ll be showing what’s left of the first day of the 4th test against India from opening time, while the Dell Tech Championships golf will also start at 8pm. On Friday afternoon we’l open with the cricket and then in the evening its Leeds-Boro at 7.45pm, so Banno will be in front of one of the TVs, Friday is also the start of the season for the rugger buggers and Bristol kick off against Bath at the same time as the footy. If you want to watch that please ask at the bar.
All of that leads on to a great weekend with Premiership football, more rugby, the usual results service, the cricket, the Italian Grands Prix and the golf for you to look forward to.
