We have some great events lined up for you this summer.
We start this weekend with a barbecue on Saturday afternoon, which is planned to start at 3pm so that you all have plenty of time to have some food before the
Scotland-England World Cup qualifying game, which is live on Sky at 5pm. After the match, the prizes will be handed out to the winners and runners-up in the Tipsters football prediction competition. So it should be a good day and evening in the Club.
On the following Friday, the 16th, we’ll have Acoustica doing a gig in the Club. They’ll be playing their unique acoustic versions of heavy metal classics. Club member Craig Waller is the guitarist for the pair, who always give us a good night.
Then on the next evening, Saturday 17th, we’ll be staging our June quiz. As ever, the questions will be set by Scally and there will be plenty of cash prices up for grabs. The quiz starts at 8.30pm and we’d love to see you in the Club for it.
Two weeks later, on July 1st, the Club will be staging a golf day. We’ll be playing at Rusper , near Horsham and coming back to the Club after for prize-giving and general bullshitting about our rounds. There are still a few places available on this trip so please check the noticeboard by the fruity for details.
The third Saturday in July, the 15th, will be when we stage our July quiz, so please book it into your diaries now.
Finally, on the evening of July 29th, Richard Ellis will be staging an open mike night. He already has some good people lined up and we’re expecting a great evening.
