After a great weekend with a fantastic Open Mike Night, we’ve got plenty more coming up for you this week on our TVs and another good weekend to look forward to.
But before any of that, we asked for a photographer last week and we’re repeating the request now – we’d be very grateful if a Club member with a camera could be at the Club to take pictures at our defibrillator unveiling which takes place this Wednesday at 3pm. Please let us know by reply if you can do this.
And the sport this week. We’ve already started today with the third test between the West Indies and England on Sky. That wil be on tomorrow and on Wednesday from opening time. Also tonight we’ve got the final Premiership game of the weekend on, with Wolves playing Newcastle from 8pm on Sky.
Tomorrow we’ll be showing the first Champions League knock-out game when Man Utd-Paris St Germain kicks off on BT at 8pm. Alongside that we can also show West Brom-Forest in the Championshp on Sky, or the cricket.
Wednesday brings us more Champions League action, with Spurs-Borussia Dortmund on BT on one set of screens and Villa playing a tricky away game at Brentford at 7.45pm. If anybody wants to watch the cricket then, we suggest they open negotiations with Mr Redmore tonight, they could go on for some time.
Then on Thursday we’re showing Europa Cup footy with BATE-Arsenal at 5.55pm on BT and then the Man City of Sweden, Malmo, against Chelsea (gulp) kicking off on the same channel at 8pm. Golfers can also watch what one presumes was the first ever golf tournament when it started, with the Genesis Open running from Thursday evening to Sunday.
Then on Friday at 7.45pm, you’re all welcome to come down and watch you Chair squirm, as his beloved QPR face up to a televised FA Cup match against Premiership Watford (gulp) on BT at 7.45pm.
Then we go on to a weekend which will be dominated by or February quiz on Saturday night and by FA Cup 5th Round football, including West Brom-Brighton on Saturday lunchtime – they can’t be as bad as last weekend can they? – Newport-Man City (how embarrassing for Chelsea fans if County win?), Donny-Palarce on Sunday afternoon and Man Utd-Chelsea on Monday night.
