The USA PGA and the drama of the playoffs

We’ve got loads on in the Club this weekend, with the US PGA on in the evenings, our May quiz tomorrow night, the FA Cup Final tomorrow afternoon, when we’ll be breaking out the barbie, and cricket and the FA Trophy Final on Sunday,

We start tonight with the final League play off semi of the season, Charlton-Doncaster in League 1. That kicks off at 7.45pm, with Donny trying to claw back a one goal deficit and win a place in the Final against Sunderland, who somehow scraped through a dreadful game last night.

Tomorrow we’ll start the barbie off in mid-afternoon, we’re not sure exactly when yet because the chef’s been up in Scotland all week and I haven’t had the chance to ask him when he’s starting, but all the food is ordered so we’ll be going ahead. The Cup Final starts at 5pm, with Watford the latest to try and stop City winning everything, so expect lots of footage of Sir Elt blubbing at Wembley back in the 80s, plus of Pep looking jolly determined, before we actually get to watch some football.

On Saturday night our May quiz starts at roughly 8.30pm. Scally is testing us with his usual mix of general knowledge and mind games with prizes handed out after rounds two, four and seven. The quiz is open to teams of four, paying £2 a head and we;d love to see you all in.

Sunday starts at Noon with another England-Pakistan one day international – that’ll be going through the day but at 3.30pm we’ll also show the FA Trophy Final, when Orient take on Fylde United – sadly our one Orient fan won’t be in to watch because he’s going up with his boy but we can support Andy from afar. We’ll also have the closing stages of the US PGA starting on Sky at 4pm.
