We’ve got a great week of sport coming up this week, with Champions League football, international 20/20 cricket and football from the Europa League and Championship.
Tonight we’re showing the steel city derby, with Sheffields Wednesday-United kicking off at 7.45pm on Sky.
Tomorrow night at 7.30pm Sky is bringing us 20/20 cricket between West Indies and England. We’re not sure when the two teams bully off but the programme starts at 7.30 so it won’t be long after that and, judging from the one-dayers we’ve seen so far, there are sure to be some fireworks in that game. Then at 8pm, its Borussia Dortmund-Spurs on BT, with Spurs 3-0 up but looking strangely out of form since that game. If nobody’s watching the cricket or Spurs game, there’s also Derby-Wigan starting at 7.45pm for the masochists among us.
On Wednesday evening we have more Champions League footie, with Man Utd trying to overturn a 0-2 goal difference over in Paris. That’s on BT, with Sky’s offering at the same time being Bristol Rovers-Sunderland – nope, me neither.
On Thursday we move on to the Europa League, with Rennes-Arsenal at 5.55pm and then Chelsea-Dinamo Kiev at 8pm. Both games are on BT.
Then on Friday we’re back to the Championship with champions-elect Naawrch hosting Swansea at 7.45pm on Sky Sports Leeds.
That takes us into a great weekend in which we’ll be watching Palace-Brighton on Saturday lunchtime, England looking to keep their 6 Nations title bid on track with Saturday afternoon fixture at home to Italy and Arsenal-Man Utd on Sunday afternoon.
