We’ve got some great sport for you to watch on our TVs this weekend with international football and European Cup rugby among the highlights.
Tonight we start with Croatia-England in the UEFA Nations League. Gareth Southgate’s young team will be on a steep learning curve from 7.45pm against the World Cup Finalists and they’ll be playing in an eerily quiet stadium because no fans are allowed in, so its a shame England have no Arsenal players to take full advantage of the quiet playing conditions they’d be used to.
Tomorrow we kick off at 12.30pm with Bath-Toulouse on BT2 in rugby’s version of the Champions League. That’s followed at 3pm by Exeter-Munster, with the usual results service on one set of screens. Then at 5.15pm we’re showing Ulster-Leicester.
For those of you that are so desperate to watch football that you’ll even watch Sark-Faroe Islands, please check to make sure that the rest of the bar is happy to do this before asking the bar staff to switch one set of screens over.
On Sunday we start again with rugby at 12.30 with Gloucester-Castre on BT2. That is followed at 3pm by a choice between Glasgow-Saracens on BT2 and Toulon-Newcastle on BT 3.
Then finally we finish with another tough game for England, when they kick off in Spain at 7.45pm on Monday evening.
There isn’t a lot of sport to look forward to next week, although Ireland-Wales should be fun on Tuesday night. Next weekend we have Premiership and Championship football, more European Championship rugby, the US Grands Prix and even American Football to watch.
More importantly, on Saturday evening next weekend its our October quiz, when Scally puts us all to the test once again.
