World Cup Prediction Competitions

With the World Cup almost upon us, we have some last minute announcements concerning football prediction competitions.

First of all, we learned today that the Club ran out of Tipster forms behind the bar in the week and, as a result, some couldn’t enter. To give give you a bit more time to enter, we’re extending the deadline for when forms need to be in from tonight to 6.30pm on Friday evening. That gives you half an hour before the first game on the form, Portugal-Spain, starts. And we will of course be showing the whole game live in the Club.

Also, we’ve had a few ask what we mean by added time in the questions section of the Tipsters. That is what this old fart used to call injury time, so after 45 minutes in the first half and after 90 minutes in the second.

Finally, Sky have launched a national pub prediction competition and we have set up a mini-league as KHSSC Tipster, so if you fancy having a go, the pin number is 8061953 and the web address is https://fantasysixaside. skysports.com/#home

All you have to do is set up your team and away we go. Kirsten Redmore is chairing this and she tells me there are several rounds and you have to select one elite player, then several players from a list earning points for assists, goals etc and predicting golden goal time. You also get to select a 15 minute period of the game which is double points time. You can get a full look at the rules on the web address above.

And for non-football people, we’ll stop banging on about World Cup prediction competitions with this mail.
