We’re still looking for volunteers to help us do our bit at the May Fair on Bank Holiday Monday. So if you have some spare time please let us know,
Where we’re really keen to tie in volunteers is on the BBQs. We are operating two and to do that we need two teams of three. We have the chefs and we have the order fillers but we’re short of someone to take orders and money. If you can do that for us we’d love to hear from you so please put your name forward, either to this email address or by letting a committee member or Gordon know in the Club. The money raised will be an important part of this year’s charity pot.
Elsewhere, we need people to talk visitors into signing for Club membership and we need marshals/guides to help people to the bar and to the BBQs. We’re aware that some of you are planning to pitch up and help anyway, so we’ll allocate tasks on the day, but we do need to find out about our BBQ helper asap.
The May Fair runs from Noon until 4pm and we’ll be busy for most of that time. We’ll also need help clearing up after 4pm and collecting plastic glasses floating about the park while the Fair is going on.
