Our beer festival starts on Friday evening, when we open at 4pm, and runs through to the end of Sunday night, assuming we have any left by then. We have selected a range of ales so that you have plenty of choice of styles and strengths. Tasting notes will be out shortly and will be available to members in the Club from Friday. We want to use this festival to advertise ourselves around the village so, if you have neighbours or friends that you think would like to join our club, please bring them down and give them a taste of the place, as well as the ales.
On Saturday, we will be running our barbie, serving a great range of burgers and sausages. We’ll also be staging an open day, when the Club is licensed to welcome non-members. This is being timed to coincide with the Hassocks Twinning Association’s celebration in Adastra Park on Saturday. That runs from Noon until 4pm and we expect to be busy then
Some club members have already volunteered to help with a range of tasks that will need doing during this time and if anyone else can help we’d appreciate your help. If you can’t help, no problem, but if you’re in please be friendly and polite, even if the crowd gets a bit pressing for a while.
We’d also appreciate some help clearing up later in the day when the crowds have gone away and the people manning the barbies are ready to fall over.
But most of all we’d like to see you enjoying the Club this weekend. Enjoy the ales and be as welcoming as possible.
