We are looking for your help. On Saturday June 3rd, the Club is holding an open day and beer festival, to which all-comers are welcome. We need your help to publicise it and to sell the Club to people.
First of all, we have posted something about the day up on our facebook page and here on the website. If you could spread the word by liking and sharing the Facebook page and copying this link to friends that would be really useful thanks.
The open day has been timed to coincide with the Hassocks Twinning Association celebrations, which are happening in Adastra Park and we will be doing our bit. We’ll be serving people drinks from our bar and also food from our barbecue. We have staff and volunteers to run the bbq and bar but we dearly need plenty of helpers for other tasks.
First of all, we need meeters and greeters, to welcome people into the Club and make them comfortable enough to want to get to know more about us and maybe join – we see this is a golden opportunity to recruit new members and we’d like some help in laying on the charm.
The other thing we need is people to sweep for discarded plastic glasses and rubbish in the Park. We’ll be serving food on paper plates and drinks in plastic glasses and we’ll need people to sweep around the park regularly to pick up any discards, while we’l also need help collecting empties in the Club itself. We’re sure plenty of other tasks will come through.
It’s going to be a lovely day, according to the forecasters, so we anticipate selling a lot of soft drinks as well as beer.
