The sighting of a strange yellow orb in the sky this evening suggests that we might be without our lovely comforting blanket of cloud this weekend, so you have a perfect opportunity to get down to the Club and let the kids have the run of the park while you have a pint.
And this Saturday night its our June quiz night. Scally will be back testing our knowledge and our problem solving with another of his quizzes. As usual we’ll have three two round sections to the quiz, with cash prices at the end of each section, so you’ll have loads of opportunity to be winners. The quiz is open to teams of four, each paying £2 a head and it starts at 8.30pm tomorrow night.
On our TVs this weekend we’ve got loads of sport for you. Tonight and through the weekend we’re showing the US Open golf. That starts on Sky at 8pm tonight and at 6pm on Saturday and Sunday.
Also tonight we have England-Argentina in the women’s World Cup kicking off at 8pm. There will be more of the women’s World Cup through the weekend and also of the cricket World Cup, just ask at the bar if you’d like to watch those.
Also on Sunday night we’ll have our usual free pool night starting at 7pm, so there’s plenty to keep you occupied in the Club this weekend.
Next week we’ll have more of the two world cups available for you, two England group games in the Under-21 European Championships and golf in the Travellers Championships starting from Thursday.
Finally, there are still some of the gins from our gin tasting night on the bar. These are available at normal gin prices and will make a lovely part of a Sunday afternoon drink, especially if its warm enough to sit outside.
